The public annual general meeting (AGM) of Ballina Salmon Festival will take place this Monday, September 30 in Ballina Manor Hotel at 8pm. Salmon Festival logo

The 2019 festival was regrettably postponed to 2020 due to various difficulties including increasing insurance and general costs. However, a replacement event was organised by the Chamber of Commerce.

Work is now underway to set the scene for a highly successful return of this much-loved event in just under 12 months.

Items to be discussed at the AGM will include the decision to postpone the 2019 festival.

The attendance will also be briefed on and invited to discuss the findings of a development survey of locals that was carried out recently.

Following a challenging couple of years, it is hoped that the local community will rally together in full support of the return of Ballina Salmon Festival.

The upcoming AGM affords an opportunity to express an interest in getting involved with opportunities ranging from festival chairperson or director, event leader, fundraiser, steward etc.

No matter what your talent is it will be greatly welcomed as plans are put in place for the 2020 Ballina Salmon Festival.

All welcome to attend.
