Bohola Moy Davitts 0-9
Goals from Ronan McNamara and Stephen Nyland capped an impressive attacking display for the Ballindine side. Elimination will surely be a disappointment for Moy Davitts as they failed in their efforts to match last years quarter final appearance.
Liam Irwin was once again the key man for Breaffy, shooting 8 points and an excellent influence on his sides attacking play overall. The result sees Breaffy through to the knockout round, meanwhile Kiltane will battle it out with Davitts for second spot in this group.
Ballina Stephenites 1-9
Another draw for both sides sees this group go down to the wire on the final day of action. A late Evan Regan brought the game level with only seconds to go and the spoils were shared.
Castlebar Mitchels 0-14
Castlebar Mitchels held off a Westport side who were resurgent in the second half but they are not quite through in the group yet. Westport will be counting their blessings that the other game ended in a draw.
The Ballintubber forwards hit their stride in the second half to bring them to an excellent victory over Knockmore. Goals from Damien Coleman and Stephen O’Malley were crucial in the win.
It was deadlocked at half time and it remained this way at full time. A late Darren Coen tied this game after 60 minutes of play. Both sides could still qualify for the knockout stage.
The game was even early on, but Ballaghaderreen began to pull away as the game went on to record a narrow win, with an Andy Moran penalty helping them along their way. They join Belmullet in the next round.
Beal an Mhuirthead 2-13
It was a frustrating afternoon for Claremorris and they couldn’t match Belmullet’s play. Two goals in the second half was enough for the visitors to make the most of their long journey from north west Mayo and qualify from their group.
