Co Sligo’s Cloonacool Players have qualified for the All Ireland confined finals for the first time in the group’s history.
Fans of the group and drama enthusiasts are invited to see the group’s send-off show in advance of the April 7 finals in the new Community Centre in Cloonacool this Friday night, April 4 at 8.30pm
That night the Players will stage Many Young Men of Twenty – a great show in which drama, fun and song combine to provide the audience with a magic night of entertainment. This award winning production is peppered with great moments in theatre and powerful performances. This is the last chance to see the show locally as its staging for the All Ireland finals in Claremorris on Monday next, April 7th will be the last one.
Sligo Cancer Support group will benefit from the performance in Cloonacool, taking the proceeds of door and raffle. Tom Towey, a stalwart of the group, attends the Sligo Cancer Suppoprt Group and is currently establishing a branch in Tubbercurry for survivors of cancer in the South Sligo region.
